Myopia management
There are three specialized treatment options to slow the progression of myopia:
- Atropine eye drops
- Orthokeratology (Ortho-K)
- Multifocal contact lenses
Benefits of Myopia Management with Contact Lenses
- Slowing Myopia Progression: Studies have shown that specialized contact lenses can reduce the progression of myopia by up to 50%.
- Improved Quality of Life: For children and adults alike, myopia management with contact lenses can mean less dependence on glasses and reduced risk of high myopia complications.
- Better Long-Term Vision Health: Controlling myopia progression can reduce the risk of severe eye issues in adulthood, safeguarding long-term vision health.
