I graduated with an MBBS from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, in 1999. I furthered my education by completing my postgraduate degree (MD) in Ophthalmology, also from AIIMS, where I received comprehensive training and exposure to world-class medical practices.

In 2002, I completed three years of Junior Residency in Ophthalmology at the Dr. Rajendra Prasad Center for Ophthalmic Sciences, AIIMS, New Delhi. During my tenure, I worked on several specialized areas within the field, gaining invaluable experience and knowledge.

My career trajectory continued to progress when I worked as a Senior Resident from January 2003 for three years, specializing in Vitreoretinal Surgery, Ocular Trauma, and Retinopathy of Prematurity services. I further honed my skills through a fellowship in Vitreoretina at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA.

With over 25 years of experience in the field, I have independently performed over 10,000 basic and advanced Vitreoretinal surgeries, including sutureless 25G/27G MIVS, and more than 15,000 Phacoemulsification surgeries, including robotic and femtosecond-assisted (FLACS) procedures. Additionally, I have expertise in refractive surgeries (including Femto-assisted), vitreous hemorrhage management, macular hole surgery, dropped nucleus removal, and medical retina treatments involving fluorescein angiography and laser therapy for diabetic retinopathy, ARMD, vasculitis, and Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP), among others.

Currently, I serve as a Senior Consultant in Ophthalmology at Max Healthcare, Saket/Panchsheel Park, New Delhi, having worked in leading hospitals like Batra Hospital and Fortis Healthcare in the past. I am also actively involved in training fellows from various countries, conducting hands-on courses in Vitreoretina, including training in Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP).
